The Lord Sent Nathan (2 Samuel 12:1-6)

• God had not given up on David.
• God knew what it would take to get David’s attention.
• David’s response was proper and revealing.

Nathan confronts David (2 Samuel 12:7-12)

• The accusation was correct and direct.
• The charges were clear.
• The goodness that was ignored.
• The judgement was laid out.

David Responds to the Charge (2 Samuel 12:13-15)

• David took full responsibility.
• David was forgiven by God.
• God still punished David.

Applications

• God never gives up on us.
• God confronts our sin because God loves us.
• Repentance does not mean repercussions won’t come.
• God will always forgive.
