Purpose of Adult Ministry

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 states "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!"

As a growing church, it is vital that UPCC continue to be purposeful in connecting lives. Connection = Growth and it starts with individuals being purposeful in getting involved in relationship-building opportunities. Satan loves isolation; so, with that fact in mind, we highly encourage the members of our church to be actively connected to other believers. We do this through men’s and women’s ministries, community groups, Connections time on Sundays, and family worship.

UPCC Women’s Ministry

Flourish

Flourish is the concept that our spiritual lives are in the process of growing in a healthy and vibrant way and that is the desire for the women of UPCC. Whether it’s physical, spiritual, or emotional support, life is navigated through the power of Christ and the power of relationships. The women of UPCC seek to grow together through connection, prayer, Bible study, accountability, and service together. If you would like to find out more information about the women’s ministry and receive our women’s monthly newsletter, please contact our church administrator, Sue Esterline, at admin@upccmail.org.

GAP Groups

GAP groups are UPCC's way to organize our discipleship ministry. Being discipled is an important relationship that we all need. Each discipling relationship should have God’s Word, Accountability and Prayer as a part of it so that is why we have called them GAP groups. We have four types of groups currently: one-on-one, gender-specific, couples, and families. Equipping Classes

After our Sunday worship service service, we gather into smaller groups and focus on being equipped in biblical learning, living, and leadership. This is a time of biblical teaching, group sharing, and application as we digest together the truth of God’s Word. It also serves as a great time to connect with others in the church in a smaller group setting. Click here to learn about our current Equipping U classes.

242 Weekends

On the second weekend of every month, we do not have our 2nd Hour Equipping Classes but instead break out into different homes. The purpose of this time is to follow the model we see in the New Testament of Christians gathering to share a meal together, get to know people in the church, and connect relationally. This time also serves as a great avenue in getting to meet and know individuals of UPCC on a deeper level.
