I. What is God’s design? - “These Things”

In God’s design, He has a place for us
1 John 1:4

In God’s design, God has a plan for us

God is preparing us

In God’s design, our place is safe & secure

II. How does God’s design work?

Question to ask: Are we willing to obey Him?
1 John 2:3

Question to ask: Are we willing to walk like Jesus walked?
1 John 2:5-6

Question to ask: Are we willing to love our brother?
1 John 3:10

III. Motive Matters 

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
