Code Blue Shelter Updates: Great news!

Our local homeless task force is continuing to move along to create a warm, safe place for our homeless neighbors. One big piece we need is volunteers to handle the different roles needed to open the Upper Perk Code Blue Shelter. This year we currently have one location for men which will be at Bike & Sol in East Greenville. We are still working at securing a location for women and would love a family one in the future. None of this can take place until we have between 25-30 volunteers which can be male or female. Here is how you can help:

• We will be hosting 2 separate trainings for Code Blue Shelter volunteers at Upper Perkiomen Community Church in the café area on the first floor. You only need to attend one of the following dates:
  • Thursday November 16 from 7-9 pm.
  • Sunday November 19 from 3-5 pm.
• Giving Opportunity: There are many expenses that need to be met to be able to provide a warm place during a code blue shelter in place. UPCC has opened a special giving fund for the Code Blue Shelter. or You can give online to the Code Blue Shelter Fund through our Planning Center Church App, or by clicking here.
