BIG IDEA: When gospel living permeates the church, and then leaks out into the community, the beauty of the gospel is brought to light.

1. How does gospel living permeate the church?

• By urging self-control (v.6)

Application Question #1:

Are you being mastered by anything or anyone other than the HS. in any area of your life?

Application Question #2:

Who are you urging?

You can only Impress people from a distance. But you impact them from close up.

• By modeling Godly living (7-8a)

What are you modeling for others?

2. How does gospel living leak out into the community?

• By living honorably towards those in authority over us. (9-10a)

Are you treating those in authority over you with honor?

• “Adorn”= the arrangement of jewels in an order that makes the most of their beauty.
