Observation 1:
When we allow our disappointment with God to remain, our hearts can grow ugly leading to doubt, resentment, and self-destruction.
The GOOD
The Capture of the King
• The awakening
• The avoidance
• The accomplishment
• The abandonment
Observation 2:
When we allow our distrust in God to rise, our hearts can rely on good intentions leading to disillusions, restlessness, and self-righteousness.
The BAD
The Religious Trial of the King
• The accusations
• The admission
• The anger
Observation 3:
When we allow our disbelief about God to resonate, our hearts can produce bad thoughts leading to distraction, rejection, and self-preservation.
The GREAT
The Victorious King
Does God Care?
• The UGLY – There is acceptance (v. 50)
• The GOOD – There is armor (v. 52)
• The BAD – There is availability (v. 55)
Is God in Control?
• The GOOD – He will accomplish (v. 53-57)
• The UGLY – He is aware (v. 46-47)
• The BAD – He has authority (v. 64)
Can God be Trusted?
• The BAD – He is factual (v. 64)
• The GOOD – He is faithful (v. 54-56)
• The UGLY – He offers friendship (v. 50)
Observation 4:
When we believe in the Greatness of God, we can live victoriously knowing He is in control, that He is trustworthy, and that He deeply cares.
