2 categories for attributes of God:Communicable

• love
• Holiness

Incommunicable: Only God possesses these

• Omnipresent (is everywhere)
• Omniscience (knows everything)
• Doesn’t change, doesn't change his mind

More simply put, God is not man

We are by nature changeable and changing creatures

Influence is the catalyst for change

• Influence we can’t control: time
• Influence we can control: things in our culture influence what we want to have and do

Luke 5:1-11 - Jesus calls his disciples

Disciple: someone who has been changed by Jesus Christ 

2 main marks of an authentic disciple (seesaw diagram)

1. Continued desire to be influenced by Jesus
2. Growing desire to influence others for Jesus

How can we be growing Christians without being in the word and praying with some regularity?
