Test the Spirits (v. 1)

• Are they from God?
• Are they from the devil?

How do we test the spirits (vv. 2-3)

• Do they confess Jesus as Christ?
• Do they accept that Christ came in flesh?
• Do they believe that Christ came at God’s request?

Who do these spirits come from? (v. 5)

• The devil
• They come as spirits of anti-christ
• Their speech and actions prove they are from the world
